# 📱 Follow Me Up - User Manual

## 🚀 Getting Started

### 1. **Sign In**
- Open the app and tap **"Sign In with Google"**
- Use your Google account for secure access
- Your data is private and only accessible to you

### 2. **Grant Permissions**
- **Location Permission**: Required for tracking your movements
- **Camera Permission**: Needed to add photos to pins
- **Storage Permission**: Required to save photos to your gallery

## 🗺️ Main Features

### **📍 Location Tracking**
- **Enable Trail Drawing**: Tap the map button to start/stop tracking
- **Real-time Tracking**: Watch your path appear on the map as you move
- **Background Tracking**: Continues even when app is minimized
- **Trail History**: View all your previous journeys

### **📌 Saving Pins**
1. **Long press** anywhere on the map
2. **Add a note** describing the location
3. **Add a photo** (optional) - tap camera icon
4. **Save** - Your pin is now saved with the photo

### **📸 Photo Features**
- **Take Photos**: Use camera to capture location photos
- **Choose from Gallery**: Select existing photos
- **Automatic Organization**: Photos saved to "Follow Me Up" album in your gallery
- **Photo Persistence**: Photos survive app deletion and reinstallation

### **👥 Social Features**
- **Add Friends**: Send friend requests using Gmail addresses
- **Share Pins**: Share your favourite locations with friends
- **Receive Pins**: Accept shared locations from friends
- **Friend Management**: View, accept, or remove friends

## ⚙️ Settings & Customization

### **🌍 Language Settings**
- Tap **Settings** → **Language**
- Choose from 23 supported languages
- Changes apply immediately without restart

### **🔋 Power Management**
- **Low Power Mode**: Reduces battery usage during tracking
- **Trail Drawing**: Enable/disable location tracking
- **Image Quality**: Choose High (90%), Medium (75%), or Low (60%)

### **🗺️ Map Options**
- **Map Types**: Standard, Satellite, Hybrid, Terrain
- **Trail Visibility**: Show/hide your movement trails
- **Pin Management**: View, edit, or delete saved pins

## 📱 How to Use

### **Starting Your Journey**
1. **Sign in** with Google account
2. **Enable trail drawing** (map button)
3. **Start moving** - your path will appear on the map
4. **Pin important locations** as you discover them

### **Saving Important Places**
1. **Long press** on the map where you want to save
2. **Write a note** about the location
3. **Add a photo** if desired
4. **Tap Save** - location is now pinned

### **Sharing with Friends**
1. **Add friends** using their Gmail addresses
2. **Long press** on any saved pin
3. **Tap "Share"** and select friends
4. **Friends receive** the location with your note and photo

### **Viewing Your History**
- **Tap any pin** to see details and photos
- **View trail history** on the map
- **Get directions** to any saved location
- **Manage pins** - edit, delete, or share
