Introductions Footprint

Footprint helps you understand and reduce your whole carbon footprint across everyday life – from journeys and commuting, to food, shopping and home energy use.

Automatic journey tracking:
With your permission, Footprint uses location to detect when you travel, estimate distance and transport mode (such as car, bus or train), and show a history of your journeys.

Log detailed carbon events and energy use:
Record other sources of emissions as “carbon events”, including food, products, services and more. Use flexible filters (by category, timeframe and type) to explore where your emissions come from. Set up simple household energy profiles to see the impact of your electricity, gas and other energy use over time.

Clear charts, insights and digests:
See your footprint broken down by day, week and month, and by category such as travel, food or home. Optional digest notifications give you gentle summaries so you can spot trends and notice when changes make a difference.

Optional social and groups:
Join or create groups and compare footprints using aggregated stats and leaderboards. Only high-level numbers are shared in groups, not your detailed journey or event history.

Privacy, control and account deletion:
You stay in control of your data. You can adjust permissions at any time and delete your account from within the app, which removes your personal data from our backend as described in the Privacy Policy.

Footprint does not show third‑party ads or sell your data.
