We, African democrats, aware of the challenges facing our continent, firmly affirm that Africa needs peace, democratic renewal and solidarity, social justice, and development.
The Sahel, more specifically, is going through one of the most critical periods in its history.
Aware of the growing difficulty of accessing free, credible, and verified information, we, Africans from the Sahel and the diaspora, have decided to commit ourselves to restoring to our region the dignity it deserves.
Convinced that only democracy can guarantee stability, social peace, and sustainable development in the Sahel, we hereby announce the creation of the independent media outlet "Voie du Sahel" (Voice of the Sahel).
