In "Voidweaver," you are the last acolyte in a desecrated, gothic cathedral teetering on the edge of an abyssal rift. The core 2048 mechanic is reimagined as a desperate ritual. You don't slide tiles—you channel your dwindling sanity to *beckon* fragmented, whispering relics across the cracked marble floor of the sanctuary, merging them into more complete and stable forms.

Every relic is a cursed artifact (a broken dagger [2], a tarnished locket [4], a weeping saint's finger [8]), pulsating with dark energy. Merging two identical relics not only creates a higher-tier artifact (like a Silent Bell [16] or a Crown of Thorns [32]), but also temporarily pushes back the encroaching shadowy tendrils creeping in from the edges of the screen. Your primary resource is **Sanity**, which depletes with every move you make. If it reaches zero, the abyss claims you, and the game ends.

The key innovation is the **Passive Corruption** system. Each turn, one random tile on the board becomes "Corrupted"—immovable and slowly spreading its decay to adjacent tiles unless merged away quickly. This creates constant pressure and strategic blockages, forcing you to plan merges not just for progression but for survival.
