Verification of Series B Banknotes in 10, 20, and 50 Denominations

Since April 2018, the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) has issued the First Family of Banknotes (PFB) of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. This issuance began with the Bs10 note, continuing every three months with subsequent denominations.

The "Bolivian Banknotes" app allows users to learn about the security features of the new Bolivian banknotes through the following actions: LOOK, TOUCH, and TILT. Each of these actions displays different security features that should be verified by the public to distinguish a genuine banknote from a counterfeit one.

The new banknotes will circulate simultaneously with the banknotes of the previous series until the latter are withdrawn from circulation due to wear and tear.
