The Still Parents Podcast provides a platform for men who have faced the heart breaking loss of a baby to openly share their experiences of stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage, or medical termination.
Through candid, genuine and surprisingly funny discussions, we challenge societal norms and encourage men to embrace their emotions rather than conform to traditional expectations. The stigma surrounding the devastating impact of baby loss on bereaved parents are prevalent today. Men experience grief just as deeply as women, yet the expectation for men to remain strong and suppress their emotions hinders them from seeking the necessary support. We continue to create a global community, uniting bereaved men through a uniquely devastating experience. Baby loss does not discriminate! We give a voice and validate that it is ok to speak about the ‘worst day of your life’!
The devastating impact of baby loss and its effects on bereaved parents are still to this day a stigma amongst society. Research shows that men grieve loss as intensely as women yet the social stereotype that men should be strong and bottle up their grief is stopping bereaved men accessing and getting the support they need.
The Still Parents Podcast talks candidly to men who have suffered the devastating loss of a baby to stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination. The discussions are honest, genuine and hard hitting with the aim of dispelling the societal expectations men are so often expected to show.
