The SaveME 999 application allows users to make emergency assistance requests.
The SaveME 999 application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”) was officially introduced to Malaysians as one of the Malaysian Government’s initiatives to manage emergency services via smartphone applications. This application offers various features, including allowing users to request emergency assistance such as fire, crime, medical assistance, humanitarian assistance, maritime emergencies and other related emergency services within Malaysia.This application can also be used for emergencies involving incidents that put lives at risk and cause damage to property or the environment.
This application is also specially designed to assist visually impaired (blind) and hearing impaired (deaf) individuals who need emergency assistance. The public can add additional information such as text, voice recordings, photos/videos to help emergency agencies respond more quickly and effectively.
The application and data belong to the Malaysian Government and are operated by the Ministry of Communications (MC). In line with the country’s desire towards digitalization of technology, this application has been updated with various new functions and focuses on managing emergency services more digitally, efficiently and effectively.
