This app is an Educational Resource that aims to transform the accounting data and public administration information contained in SIOPS into a simple and accessible language for any citizen.
Information on the public budgets of municipalities, states and the Union is publicly accessible and free of charge to any Brazilian citizen. However, the information is presented in an accounting language specific to the health field and citizens lacking knowledge about accounting and public administration, or even with a low level of education, cannot clearly understand the content of the reports made available by the system. . Therefore, translation is necessary both for citizens who use the SUS and for health counselors with different levels of education.
The perspective is that, with the correct information, citizens can monitor more closely the investments in health made in their municipality and can also evaluate the investments made by the federal and state governments in their municipality.
